SVNIRTAR CET Selection Process and Counselling Process
Admission to all the undergraduate programmes offered by Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training And Research (SVNIRTAR) are done on the basis of SVNIRTAR CET.

Selection Process:
- Students will be shortlisted for admission according to the merit list/ waiting list generated on the basis of marks secured in SVNIRTAR CET.
- No other entrance exam will be considered for admission.
- If multiple students score similar marks in CET, then the inter- se-merit will be evaluated on the basis of the following:
(i) Candidates securing higher marks in either Biology or Mathematics in CET will be ranked higher in the merit list.
(ii) In case multiple students have secured same marks in the subjects mentioned above, the candidate securing higher marks in Chemistry in CET will be given a higher rank.
(iii) In case of a tie in all three subjects mentioned above, the candidate who has secured higher marks in Physics will be placed higher in the rank list.
iv. If multiple students have tied in Physics, Chemistry, Maths as well as Biology, the candidate getting higher marks in 10+2 shall rank higher.
v. In case of a tie in (i), (ii), (iii) & (iv) mentioned above, the candidate elder in age will be given a higher rank.
Counselling Process:
- Merit list/ Waiting list will be generated on the basis of marks secured by applicants in CET.
- Students can check the result and counselling schedule on the official website of the institute as well as at collegedekho.com
- The counselling procedure will be conducted at the campus of Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training & Research (SVNIRTAR).
- Candidates will be required to deposit the admission fee in order to secure their seat.
- Candidates will have to report to the Chairman, CET, Director, SVNIRTAR, Cuttack at the time of the counselling.
- Only the candidates who will be present at the counselling will be allotted seats. If a candidate fails to appear at the time of the counselling, his/her claim to the seat will be cancelled.
The following procedure will be followed:
- Candidates will be called up for seat allotment in the order of merit list and as per the number of vacancies available at their turn. Candidate will have to select course and institute according to their eligibility.
- Parents/ guardian of the candidate will not be allowed inside the counselling hall. However, the candidates will be given time to consult their parents before the process begins.
- Seats allotted to the candidates during counselling are provisional. They will be permanently secured only after the candidate has deposited the prescribed fee on the spot via demand draft.
Documents required during counselling:
The original copies of the documents might be retained by the institute till the completion of the first year of examinations. Candidates must carry the following
- Original + 2 self-attested copies of 10th certificate
- Original + 2 self-attested copies 12th mark sheet/ certificate
