Time to Remodel Indian Education System: Nalanda University VC
Nalanda University Vice-Chancellor Sunaina Singh said that Education leaders in the country need to address the importance of remodelling the present education system.
Vice- Chancellor of Nalanda University, Sunaina Singh, addressed the audience at the Conference on Soft Power. During her address, she talked about the importance of remodelling the present education system in India.
Singh who is also the Vice President of Indian Council for Culture Relations (ICCR) stated that the need of the hour is to revamp the Indian education model. Even though the Indian education system has gone through a transition over the years, but there is a long way to go.

Head of the Centre for Indian Studies at the Institute of Oriental Studies, Tatiana Shaumyan talked about the current education scenario in Russia. She informed that the education system has changed since the pre-Soviet era. Earlier, there used to be many Indian students in Russia but things have changed drastically since the post-Soviet era.
According to her, Russia’s relationship with other countries is on the basis of mutual agreements and on friendship. The concept of higher education is beyond the traditional idea of education.

Many eminent personalities such as Shaunaka Rishi Das, Director at UK’s Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies, Subhash Kak, Prof Oklahoma State University and others attended the Conference on Soft Power.
Nalanda University is one of the popular postgraduate and research-oriented university located in Bihar. The varsity offers many postgraduate and research related courses in the field of arts and humanities, environmental science, Buddhist studies and comparative languages.
