The Vocational Skill Training Program launched by Sri Durga Malleswara Siddhartha Mahila Kalasa concluded on 4-May-2016. The program was launched in the month of April. The training was given in Beauty services and Maggam works and other skill oriented courses to female students. The training was given by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of the college.
On this occasion, the college management conducted a certificate distribution ceremony. Certificates were given to the candidates who underwent training for a period of 40 days in Beauty Services and Maggam works. The certificates were given by the college principal, T.Vijaya
College principal, T.Vijaya said, “The EDC is formed to benefit the students in one or other way. Training in hand made courses will be imparted to them, such that they can make use of their skill to make their living. Under the vocational summer program, about 100 women are being trained under various courses by EDC”. She appreciated the efforts of EDC in providing skills for self-employment. She assured that the training will be given to more students in the coming years.
The training is also being offered in Tailoring, Mehindi application, glass painting, soft toys making and knitting.
