Day 3 & Shift 2 of JEE Main 2021 Phase 4 has been conducted on August 31. Check the detailed question paper analysis of JEE Main 31st August Shift 2 exam along with memory-based question paper, solutions and answer key. The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate.

JEE Main 31st Aug 2021 Shift 2 Question Paper Analysis, Answer Key

Day 3 & Shift 2 of JEE Main 2021 Phase 4 has been conducted on August 31 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. As per the revised exam pattern of JEE Main 2021, the question paper consists of a total number of 90 questions (including 30 NAT questions). Each section has 10 NAT (Numerical) questions (instead of 5), and the candidates are required to answer any 5 from each section. NAT questions do not have negative marking for the wrong attempt, and subject-specific questions have a negative mark of -1 for each wrong attempt. The official answer key of JEE Main 2021 Phase 4 is expected to be released by September 4. On the other hand, the Phase 4 result of JEE Main 2021 can be expected by September 10.

Major Highlights of JEE Main 31st Aug 2021 Shift 2 Analysis (First Reaction)

The shift 2 exam concluded at 6:00 PM. As per the primary feedback received from students, some of the major highlights of Shift 2 analysis are as follows -

  • As per the first reaction of students, the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate
  • Mathematics was moderate but lengthy
  • Physics was easy to moderate
  • Chemistry was easy to moderate
  • There was a question from Gravitation, Magnetism, Electrostatics and at least 3 from Modern Physics
  • There was more weightage for Organic Chemistry
  • From the Mathematics section, there were a good number of questions from Calculus, one question from Statics, 1 from Mathematical Reasoning
  • Physical Chemistry had almost 7 integer-based questions
  • From Communications in Physics, there was an integer-based question
  • In all, Mathematics was lengthy but not too difficult
