Can Students Awaiting Class 12th Results Appear in SLAT 2026?
According to the official rules that have been posted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University), students appearing in their Class 12 (10+2) examinations or awaiting results can apply and write the SLAT 2026 exam. The minimum eligibility criteria of SLAT are that the applicant must have passed a 10+2 or equivalent exam by a recognised board with a minimum of 45 per cent marks (40 per cent in case of SC/ST applicants).
SLAT 2026 Admission Procedure: Provisional and Final
Applicants awaiting Class 12 grades are granted provisional admission based on the performance in SLAT, Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interaction (PI) rounds. After the qualifying examination (10+2) results have been published, such candidates have to provide their mark sheets and evidence of passing with minimum qualifying marks during the final admission and verification of documents.
It is important to note:
This is a provision until the candidate submits the Class 12 pass certificate/mark sheet with qualifying marks.
Inability to produce the necessary mark sheet ascertaining eligibility within the given time can result in the cancellation of admission despite passing through all levels of the SLAT 2026 selection process.
Conducting SLAT would also be fair and inclusive, thus avoiding the Class 12 students being denied an important admission process. It provides both board exam and law entrance preparation simultaneously, and it is also in line with most Indian entrance exams, such as CLAT, LSAT-Indi etc.
