From this year onward, there will be no variation between question paper series A, B, and C. All the series will have the same questions; only the sequence of questions will be different. This also means that the difficulty level of the paper will also be the same across all series. As per the HP Board chairman, the move to one question paper across all series will remove the concern of students about the unequal difficulty level of papers, which was affecting their results and merit list.

To align with the National Education Policy (NEP) and to prepare students for the competitive exams like JEE and NEET, from the 2025-26 academic session, 20% MCQ type questions have been introduced by the board. The criteria will be followed in all subjects, which will focus on the concept-based assessment of students. To help students prepare for or understand the MCQ type questions, the board has also uploaded the new model question papers on the official website.
