IP University, Delhi conducted Common Entrance Test (CET) 2016 on 15 May, 2016 for admission to the BBA programmes in the colleges/participating institutes affiliated to the University. For the students of Delhi NCR in UG segment, it was the first major BBA entrance examination of the year. The paper had 150 questions from four sections – Logical and Analytical Ability, English language and Comprehension, General Awareness, and Management and Aptitude Communication Skills. Duration of the test was 150 minutes. Each correct attempt had four marks and each wrong attempt had a penalty of one mark and question not attempted was to be awarded zero mark. The pattern of the paper remained the same as previous years. Each of the four sections had more or less equal weightage.

The difficulty level of 2016 IPU CET (BBA) paper was moderate though some felt it was slightly on the higher side.
Section-wise Analysis of IPU CET (BBA) 2016
The General knowledge:
The section was a mixed bag of difficult and easy questions. The overall difficulty level of the section was moderate to high. This section comprised General Awareness questions on various areas like History, Geography, Business & Economics, Polity, Awards & honours, Sports, etc. The section was dominated by business related GK questions. An attempt of 25 plus questions with about more than 80% accuracy will be considered good.
Management Aptitude and Communication Skills:
This section had a mix of questions on Management Aptitude and Communication. These questions were designed to judge the personality traits of students. Some questions tested a student’s ability to solve problems in an objective manner. An attempt of 25 plus questions will be considered good.The overall difficulty level of this section was high.
Logical and Analytical Ability:
The Logical Reasoning section questions were of easy to moderate level of difficulty. The section had more Analytical Reasoning questions than Verbal Reasoning questions. The questions were mostly from arrangement, coding-decoding, cubes, series, clock & calendar, syllogism, statement and conclusion, statement and assumption, analogies etc. An attempt of 30 plus should be considered a good attempt.
Language Comprehension:
The difficulty level of questions on this section was also easy to moderate. There were two reading comprehension passages with a total of 10-12 questions. The passages were not big. The RC questions were direct in nature. Questions on vocabulary and grammar were quite easy and manageable. There were 5-6 questions from sentence jumble. There were 3-5 questions on Phrase Replacement and 6-7 questions on Fill in the Blanks. In this section, an attempt of 32 plus will be considered good.
Overall, the difficulty level of the whole paper was moderate, and an attempt of 110-120, with an overall accuracy of 80-90%, should be considered good.
Cut Off
IPU CET 2016 for BBA does not have any cut-off, but it is estimated a safe score should be between 360 and 400.
