Students can use the NEET state rank 2025 to get admission in top medical government and private colleges of their respective states. Below are how NEET state ranks are used for getting admission:
- Each state reserves 85% of their medical seats for domicile students. State rank can be used to get admission through this 85% state quota.
- The state authorities release the counselling dates and every state has a different counselling schedule. Students can apply for colleges in their domicile only using their state rank. For example, students from Bihar can use their state rank to apply for medical colleges in Bihar. They can be granted admission through both 85% state quota and 15% AIQ. However, if aspirants from other states want to get admission in Bihar colleges, only their AIR will be considered for the same.
- Students can use their NEET 2025 state rank to get admissions in government and private colleges of their state based on their NEET results . Even if an AIR is not very high of an individual, he/she can still secure a medical seat through a good state rank.
