AIIMS MBBS 2017 Application Process Begins

All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to its 707 MBBS seats across 7 institutions for the academic session starting from 2017-18. The application form is available online at the official website of the insitute. The last date for submission of the application form is February 23, 2017.

Eligibility for AIIMS MBBS Course:

• Aspiring candidates must be of 17 years age on 31 December 2017

• Must clear their Class 12 ^th exam from a recognised board

• Must have scored 60% marks in English, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology for candidates belonging to General Category

• Must have scored 50% marks in English, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology for candidates belonging to ST/SC and OPH

• Candidates appearing in the Class 12 Board exam or equivalent are also eligible to apply

How to Apply for the Programme:

Candidates have to apply online. It is a multistage process that includes filling up of the application form and uploading of photograph and signature of the applicants, remitting the required fees. General and OBC category applicants have to pay the application fees of INR 1000 through credit, debit card or net banking. For ST/SC candidate, the application fees is INR 800. OPH candidates are not required to pay any application fees.

Mode of Exam:

AIIMS MBBS exam will be held through computer based online mode only. The exam will be of 3.30 hours duration. The question papers will contain 200 multiple choice and reason-assertion questions. Each question will carry 1 mark and for each incorrect answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted.
