Andra Pradesh Common Entrance Exam's Results Declared

Ganta Srinivasa Rao, the HRD minister declared the results of EdCET at the State Guest House on 8 May. The examination was conducted by Andhra University on 19 April to fill 45,000 seats in 508 colleges in the state. The classes would begin at the end of the month June.
This year, 8,785 candidates applied for the examination while 7,152 candidates appeared for the examination. Overall 98.01% students managed to qualify the test. 1,451 candidates qualified in Biological Science while 1709 students qualified in Mathematics. In English, Social Studies and Physical Science, the number of qualified students was 403, 2684 and 763 respectively.

The HRD minister informed that strict action would be taken for the colleges in the state without proper infrastructure facilities and the one which is for name sake only.
The minister also announced the results of POLYCET. He informed that from the 1,22,960 candidates who appeared for the exam, 96,155 were able to qualify the same i.e in total 78.20 percent qualified the entrance test. A Sai Praveen Gupta secured the first position while P Madhu Murali Krishna and V Bavahar secured second and third rank respectively.All the three top ranks were from East Godavari. Also, the number of girls clearing the examination is 82.84%
Announcing the results of LAWCET, the minister told that out of 5,826 candidates who appeared for 3-year LLB course, 4,788 qualified this test i.e around 82% were able to clear the test. K Sree Lakshmi secured the first position in the state while the second rank and the third rank was bagged by Gouthami Surapareddy and G Satyam Naidu respectively.

The exam was conducted on 19 April at 35 centres in Andhra Pradesh by Sri Krishnadevaraya University Also, 1087 candidates have qualified for 5 years LLB course among the 1,265 applicants recording a pass percentage of 85. P Geethika was the topper. M Sisira Reddy and Manasa S Venkatachalam secured the second and third rank respectively.
He also informed about the candidates qualifying for the 2- year PG LLM course recording a pass percentage of 96. In this course, J Lakshmi Charan got the first position whileK Sai Subha Sri secured the second rank and the third position was bagged by Marripati Sruthi.
