CBSE has delayed the notification for the JEE Main 2018 exam. The notification was originally expected to be released on November 15, 2018. However, CBSE has not yet announced an official date for releasing the JEE Main 2018 notification. Engineering aspirants across the country are looking forward to apply for the JEE Main Exam.

Admission to NITs, IIITs, selection for the JEE Advanced exam for IITs, and admission to various other prestigious technical institutes is done on the basis of JEE Main. Close to 12 lakh students apply for the exam every year seeking admission in top engineering colleges.

CBSE is the authority that organizes the JEE Main exam across various states in India. The 6th Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2018 will be held April 8, 2018, across the country. Admission to B.Tech programmes for the academic session 2018 will be done on the basis of JEE Main.

In 2016, the notification for CBSE Main was released on November 10. According to reports, the date of the exam is finalized by the HRD Ministry, Government of India. Various states in India have also informed their participation in the JEE Main exam and will not be conducting their separate engineering entrance exams.

These states include Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Odisha and Nagaland. The application process for JEE Main will begin from December 2017 and students will be required to apply for the exam through their Aadhaar card.
