UGC Allows Christ University to Set Up Off- Campuses
Christ University has been allowed to set up off campuses at Delhi NCR and Pune. The off campuses of Christ deemed to be University will be offering both undergraduate and postgraduate courses to the students. Applications are open for these campuses for 2019-20 academic year.
The Christ Deemed to be University has finally received approval to begin teaching courses at the off-campus in Delhi and Lavasa, Pune. The University Grants Commission has allowed the Deemed to be University to do so after a detailed inspection was conducted by officials from UGC.
Christ Deemed to be University has been planning to establish off campuses at Ghaziabad in New Delhi along with one more in Lavasa, Pune. The officials from Christ Deemed to be University have also stated that the admission process for those campuses has also been begun by the Institute. The Administration of Christ Deemed to be University has planned to begin the academic session from the year 2019-20 onwards.
In a notification released by the University Grants Commission, they have stated that after examining the compliance report made during the inspection of the two campuses, they have come to the conclusion that Christ Deemed to be University has employed the necessary number of faculty as well as built up the required infrastructure for teaching of the planned courses. In the notification, UGC has also stated that Christ Deemed to be University still needs to get the required approval from the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) as well as the Bar Council of India (BCI) for the respective Management and Law courses that are on offer at the new off campuses.

The two off campuses of Christ Deemed to be University that is in Delhi and Pune will be offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. They also have an Institute of Management which specialises in MBA and its specialisations. At the Delhi Off-campus of Christ Deemed to be University, for the Undergraduate programme, there will be B.Com, BA, BBA, B.Sc as well as undergraduate law courses. For the postgraduate law courses, it provides one M.Sc, MA and M.Com courses.

At the Lavasa campus of Christ Deemed to be University, the undergraduate courses that are on offer will be in the fields of commerce, business administration, the law as well as B.Sc. Meanwhile, there are two postgraduate courses that are on offer at the Pune Off-campus of Christ deemed to be University, viz. MA and M.Sc.
