The Central University of South Bihar has found a place in top 100 universities across the country.
CUSB of the state is the only university to have been figured in the coveted list of the top hundred universities in the country. The university has secured the 94th rank in the list. It is noteworthy that no other university could find a place in the national ranking.
Prior to this, the Patna University (PU), the 7th oldest university in India, had a very prominent place in the list of top fifty universities announced by the University Grants Commission, but today it's not present anywhere in the list.
Amongst the top hundred engineering colleges of the country, the Indian Institute of Technology - Patna bagged the tenth rank & the National Institute of Technology – Patna, has the eighty-seventh rank. These two institutes have been playing a crucial role in uplifting the status of the state.
The NIRF took the initiative to provide ranks to the educational institutions, about two months ago, across the country. As per the Human Resource Department’s ministry guidelines, more than 100 institutes uploaded data according to some criteria on NIRF website. A special team declared separate rankings of the top hundred universities after the analysing the data. The engineering institutions and the management institutes were assessed apart from the pharmaceutical institutions.
