Delhi Literature Festival to Begin from February 23, 2018
- 6th edition of Delhi Literature Festival to be held from 23rd-25th February 2018 at Dilli Haat.
- Deputy CM of Delhi, Manish Sisodia will inaugurate the Delhi Literature Festival.
- The first session is titled Education for Empowerment.
The 6th edition of the Delhi Literature Festival (DLF) will be held from 23rd - 25th February 2018 at Dilli Haat, announced the Government of India (GOI). The festival began from the year 2013. It is supported by the Government of Delhi with active cooperation from the private and public enterprises under its social responsibility. The festival is open to all without any entry fee.
Personalities and authors including Durjoy Dutta, Anant Padmanabhan, Rakshanda Jalil, Ashwin Sanghi and Nilotpal Mrinal are expected to grace the event this year.
The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr. Manish Sisodia will inaugurate the Delhi Literature Festival. The first session that is expected to take place is titled Education for Empowerment.
While elaborating on the initiative, Mr. Bharat Bhargava, founder and director of the Delhi Literature Festival said that the three-day literary festival has a host of line-ups to promote the young and inspiring authors and inculcate in them good reading habits, popularize Indian literature etc. Some of the key events include:
- Book launches
- Panel discussions
- Book readings sessions
- Theatre and poetry performances
- Workshops

Apart from that, Minu Bakshi, a renowned singer and author will also hold a musical session and share her insights on the occasion.
Book lovers of Delhi NCR can now rejoice in the fact that the 2018 edition of the Delhi Literature Fest is to start.
Every year, the festival sees the presence of talent and big names in the likes of journalists, writers, novelists, and poets. They share their thoughts, work and ideas with the audience during the three-day extravaganza at Dilli Haat. The visitors partake in this exchange in festive and colourful surroundings enjoying different cuisines and visiting different handicraft stalls of the country.

In the last edition of the DLF, several prominent writers had visited the festival and among the prominent one were:

- Vikas Swarup
- Sanjaya Baru
- William Dalrymple

Besides the writers, the festival also sees the presence of people from a cross-section of the society including celebs, socialites, college and university students and teachers and professors from all over the country.
