Delhi University's Vidya Vistar Scheme Aims Academic Cooperation with Universities
Delhi University has come up with Vidya Vistar Scheme which aims to promote academic cooperation between different varsities. The university will make available its faculties, library, and other academic facilities.
Delhi Univerity's Vice-Chancellor PC Joshi informed that an academic cooperative system between the departments and colleges of the Delhi University and those of other Indian universities is likely to take place.
According to the Vidya Vistar Scheme (V2 Scheme) initiative, the university has proposed to make available its faculties, library and to offer other academic facilities to the partnering institutions for academic partnership. He further informed that the scheme has already been rolled out and an official notification related to the same has been sent to all colleges and departments.
As of now, the academic cooperative system will offer online resources. The university has state-of-the-art resources, lectures, and projects related to online courses. In the coming time, the university will facilitate a process to invite researchers and share laboratories and other facilities with them.
The Vidya Vistar Scheme will mainly focus on organising online and offline lectures, workshops, conduct joint researchers, and publish in collaboration. It will also focus on faculty training under the same scheme.
The acting VC further informed that the university will focus on improving the QS ranking. The aim of the university is to rank between 400-500. Currently, the university ranks at 510. This implies that the university will work on its recruitments, promotions, teaching methods, research, and connections. The university will mark its 100th anniversary in 2022 and the university is planning to create a DU Encylopedia for the same.
