DMER Maharashtra Delays NEET-UG Second List
The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) is yet to release the second list of NEET UG selected candidates in Maharashtra. The DMER official said the second list will only be declared after the vacant all-India quota seats are surrendered.

MBBS admission in medical colleges all over the country has led to multiple court matters. Most of the parents are waiting for the second merit list to be released after the government made the domicile requirement mandatory in the state.

Pravin Shingare, DMER Director said that the second round of the MBBS admissions start only after the vacant seats are surrendered to all-India quota. The second list of all India seats was expected to be declared on 6th July 2018 but the delay is due to the pending court matters. The decision is on the hold due to which the related rounds have been pushed further until the next notification.

One of the parent representatives, Sudha Shenoy expressed her views on the same and said that the state should at least declare the revised first merit list. Around 31 students were disqualified after the High Court order on domicile. According to her, the delay in the revised first selection list will lead to further delay.
