HP Governor Urges Youth to Take Part in Nation Building
HP Governor Acharya Dev Vrat motivated students to channelise energy towards constructive purposes.
According to Acharya Dev Vrat, the governor of Himachal Pradesh, the youth should be motivated to take part in nation building activities and to channelise their energy towards constructive purposes.
He believes that apart from the physical inventions, what makes a nation strong are the teachers that instill important values like patriotism, discipline and humanity in their students.
The governor was invited as chief guest at the 47th foundation ceremony at the Himachal Pradesh University. With the aim to make the University ‘A-grade’, the Governor asked for a collective effort to make it happen. He also urged the teachers to teach the students what is right and not to impose their personal ideology or what only they think is right.

Apart from this, he also mentioned the 150 bighas of land near Ghanahatti which soon will be used to set up another college under the University. He also ordered the authorities to get the land transferred as soon as possible for the same. The governor also inaugurated a solar plant during the ceremony.
Dev Vrat along with Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh released university magazines and magazines like ‘Himshikhar’, ‘Novenmeshi’ among several other books.
Also issue regarding residences for women employees will be taken care of.

Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) and HPU signed a memorandum of understanding to promote conservation of arts and crafts. Also, training modules will be developed by INTACH for conservation of artefacts.
Also, programmes for conservation of paintings, paper, manuscripts, display, storage will be organised. Also University of Himachal Pradesh and Central Research Institute (CRI), Kasauli signed an MoU to promote academic and research between the institutions.
