IIHM Helps Set Up 25-Bed COVID-19 Oxygen Support Centre, Offers Fee Waiver to Students
IIHM joined hands with several NGOs to set up a 25-bed Oxygen Support Isolation Centre. The centre will be set up in New Town, Kolkata, to offer oxygen support and basic treatment to the needy.
The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) has stepped in to help the community in an effort to provide a ray of hope during the COVID-19 pandemic. The institute has joined hands with several NGOs to set up a 25-bed Oxygen Support Isolation Centre in New Town, Kolkata, which will provide oxygen support and basic treatment to the needy.
A press release shared by IIHM suggests that they have been affected by the surge of COVID-19 cases in the past few months, affecting more than 20% of the families in the county. The institute feels that while safety is of the utmost importance, standing beside bereaved families is also a social responsibility that they are willing to take up.

IIHM Provides Fee-Waiver to COVID-Affected Student
Many students from the IIHM family have also been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. When the matter of a student losing his father came to light, the institute decided to waive off all of the remaining fees of the student as a gesture of support.
Chief Mentor of IIHM, Dr Suborno Bose, said that they can not just sit and watch people suffering but they have to come forward and contribute to society wherever they can. He added they are trying to stand by the affected families and do their part.
IIHM has also promised to provide fee assistance to students on a case to case basis. In this case, students need to mail the directors at their campuses if they have lost a parent who was the earning member of the family. The institute ensures that it is willing to support its students in any way possible.
