IIM Ahmedabad Alumni Portal Launched

The farewell ceremony of 2018 batch of IIM Ahmedabad took place last week. On this occasion, IIM Ahmedabad launched an exclusive alumni portal/ website in collaboration with AlmaConnect . The alumni portal will help the old students of IIM Ahmedabad to connect with each other. Through the alumni portal of the premier institute, old students can search their friends, get connected, stay abreast of happenings of the institute, form special interest groups and utilise the network to enhance their personal and professional interests.

During the farewell ceremony, the top achievers of the 2018 batch were recognised and awarded. It was an important occasion for the graduating students to become the alumni of the premier institute.

In 2017, IIM Ahmedabad received a grant of Rs.15.5 crore in the form of funds from the alumni. The funds were raised by alumni for the restoration and conservation of its heritage campus . Recently, the institute revealed that it has received Rs. 47.5 crore of funds to restore one-third of the campus. A strong alumni network will enable the institute to take up different developmental activities.

Recently, the administration of IIM Ahmedabad confirmed that the fees for PGP course will be hiked for the academic session 2018-19. An official announcement regarding the same was made during the 53 ^rd convocation ceremony. The Board of Governors (BoG) have approved 5% fee hike for the upcoming batch. As per the new fee structure, the Post Graduate (PG) management courses at IIM Ahmedabad will cost around Rs. 22 lakhs for the entire course tenure.
