KCET Verification Slip 2025 OUT: KEA scraps secret key and introduces Face ID verification
Karnataka Verification Authority (KEA) has made available KCET Verification Slip 2025 to download in a PDF format on June 24. This year, KEA will use Face ID verification instead of the traditional secret key method to ensure secure counselling.
KCET Verification Slip 2025 OUT: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), in a recent development, announced the verification slip for KCET 2025 on June 24. Candidates who have completed the document verification process can now download their KCET verification slip by logging in with their CET number and other credentials through KEA’s official portal- kea.kar.nic.in. The verification slip confirms the candidate’s personal details, academic qualifications, category, and other parameters as validated by KEA. Alongside this release, KEA has introduced a new system to enhance the security of the counselling process. From this year onwards, KEA will Face ID verification and OTPs instead of secret key method.
Earlier, KEA used to give a secret key to aspirants, which was used during login credentials but due to lack of transparency and security, KEA decided to go away with this system. Instead, the Face ID verification system has been introduced for all candidates during key counselling stages such as option entry, seat allotment, and final reporting.

As per the official notification from KEA, Face ID will be used to authenticate candidates in real-time using AI-driven biometric checks, thereby eliminating impersonation risks. To facilitate this, candidates had already submitted their facial data (through photo capture or upload) during the document verification stage. KEA has also issued detailed instructions on how to use Face ID, and technical support is being provided through dedicated help centres and online resources.
