Ashish Upadhyaya, Principal Secretary of Higher Education, mentioned that Janbhagidari Samiti of every college has to decide regarding the dress code. He opined that imposing a state-wide dress code for all the colleges would be better. Janbhagidari Samiti is a body representing the public in the college and helps the college to get financial aids.

Mayank Yadav, a B.Com student, expressed that imposing dress code would be a good decision as it would end all the differences among the students. If there is no dress code, sometimes, it may develop inferiority complex among the students especially from the weaker background because of clothes. He revealed that he would be happy if the dress code is implemented.

Some of the student unions feel that the government should not impose dress code without consulting students. They felt that students must be given freedom to wear clothes as per their wish. Hence, the final decision should be taken only with the consent of students.

Vivek Tripathi, Spokesperson of NSUI, explained that the government is unnecessarily trying to take control of things by implementing dress code without consulting the students.
