NEET-UG 2017 Admit Card Delayed, To be Released on April 22

As per schedule, CBSE will conduct NEET-UG 2017 on May 7, 2017. The examination will be conducted in 104 test centres across the country.

Due to Supreme Court’s order to allow the candidates who are above 25 years of age to apply for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test until April 5, 2017, the release of NEET 2017 admit card has been delayed. CBSE had to release the admit card on April 15, 2017. As of now, NEET 2017 admit card will be released on April 22, 2017. The CBSE published a notification for the same on the official website of NEET.

As per schedule, CBSE will conduct NEET-UG 2017 on May 7, 2017. The examination will be conducted in 104 test centres across the country.

Recently, the Supreme Court gave its final verdict on the upper age limit in NEET-UG 2017. As per the order of the apex court, the candidates who are above 25 years of age are eligible to appear for the single entrance exam for undergraduate medical courses. Therefore, the application date was extended until April 5, 2017. The decision of Supreme Court was a big relief to a large number of medical aspirants.

This year, the centre is also taking steps to regulate the fee hike in medical courses. As per the Fee Regulatory Authority, the fee hike will not be more than 10% than the previous year. The authority will also regulate the collection of capitation fee by various private medical institutes.

On the issue of inclusion of Urdu in NEET, the apex court clarified that Urdu can be included in NEET only from 2018. This year, NEET-UG 2017 will be conducted in a total of ten languages.
