NIFT 2021 Studio Test & Interview for Artisans Category on June 26
NIFT has released the exam date for the studio test and interview rounds for the Artisans/ Children of Artisans. The application process of NIFT under this category was held till March 21, 2021.
National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has released a new notification with the exam date for the studio test and interview rounds for the shortlisted candidates under Artisans/ Children of Artisans category. Both the rounds of selection are expected to be held on June 26, 2021, across NIFT Campuses in New Delhi, Gandhinagar, Bhopal, Kolkata, Chennai, Shillong, Patna, Jodhpur and Mumbai. The admit card will be sent to the registered e-mail id of the shortlisted applicants.
The reporting time is 10:30 AM and the studio test will begin from 11:00 AM onwards. It will end at 1 P.M. and will soon be followed by an interview from 2 PM onwards. Given below is the detailed list of shortlisted candidates for studio test and personal interview based on the documents submitted at the time of registration.
The aspirants who were seeking admission under the category of Artisans/ Children of Artisans filled the application form until March 21, 2021. Under the Artisans/ Children of Artisans category, NIFT provides admission to those candidates who have any one of their parent working at the Development Commissioner (Handlooms) or the Development Commissioner (Handicraft) of the Ministry of Textiles or the State Government. These students are considered eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) course provided at the NIFT campuses.
Additionally, to be eligible under the Artisans/ Children of Artisans category for UG programme, candidates are required to have completed class 12th from a school affiliated to any recognised Central or State Board of Secondary Examination, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)/ State Board New Delhi, Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi (ISC), etc. The candidate’s age should be less than 24 years as on August 1 of the year of Admission. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for candidates of SC/ ST/ PwD categories.

The rounds of NIFT Studio Test and Personal Interview for Artisans and Children of Artisans admissions 2021 will be organised at the NIFT campus that will be selected by the candidate. NIFT admission will be based on the studio test, personal interview, document verification and eligibility criteria.
