The maximum age limit to apply to NIFT Gandhinagar UG programmes is 24 years. There are two categories of undergraduate programs with their respective NIFT Gandhinagar eligibility criteria:
A passing grade in Class 12 examination in the Class 12 pattern of examination or any equivalent from any recognised board in India/General Certificate Examination (GCE) at the advanced (A) level from any foreign universities or a national open school examination with a minimum of five subjects.
2. Bachelor of Fashion Technology-B.FTech (Apparel production)
A passing grade in Class 12 examination in the Class 12 pattern of examination or any equivalent from any recognised board in India/foreign universities with physics and mathematics (advanced A level for foreign degrees) with a minimum of five subjects. Or
A diploma of three-four years in any branch of Engineering from an institution recognised by the AICTE.
There is no age bar for applying for NIFT master's courses. The eligibility for postgraduate degrees is subject to the following categories:
The candidates must have completed an undergraduate degree from any discipline from any university recognised in India or an undergraduate diploma of at least three years from NIFT or NID.
2. Master of Fashion Management (MFM and M.FTech)
The candidates must have completed an undergraduate degree from any discipline from any university recognised in India or an undergraduate diploma of at least three years from NIFT or NID.
To be eligible for a NIFT Gandhinagar M.FTech, a B.FTech from NIFT or a BE or B.Tech from any university recognized in India is required.
A master's degree in design, fashion technology, fashion communication or BE/B.Tech/any other relevant masters as approved by the institute.
The NIFT Gandhinagar application fees for the programme must be paid through net banking to the bank account details provided on the website separately for each bachelor's, masters and PhD.

2. 50% of the tuition fee is waived off for NIFT employees, both regular and contract if they are pursuing PhD at NIFT. Security deposits, library fees, and medical and scholar development fees are waived off for NIFT employees.

NIFT scholarships are provided to students of undergraduate and postgraduate courses on a need basis by waiver of tuition fees.
Apart from this, some seats are reserved in the institution for economically and socially backward classes like SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD.
