NTA has started registration for the SHRESHTA (NETS) 2026 exam, offering SC students, a chance to study in top private schools. Applications are open at the official website until October 30, 2025. The offline exam will be held in December 2025 with 100 MCQs across four subjects.
NTA SHRESHTA Exam 2026 Registration: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration process for the NEET (NETS) 2026 exam, which aims to provide quality education to students which belongs to the Scheduled Caste, economically weaker sections, particularly those whose annual family income does not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh, to get admission opportunities into top private residential schools for classes 9 and 11 . Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website shreshta.admissions.nic. until October 30, 2025 . The application process is completely free; no charges are applicable for any category.

The candidates, to fill the online application form for SHRESHTA (NETS) 2026, need to keep scanned copies of mentioned documents ready at the time of uploading them on the official website.
- Clearly visible recent photograph in the specified format and size.
- Scanned image of candidate’s signature on white paper with black ink.
- SC certificate in prescribed Performa issued by appropriate authority to claim the category.
- Income certificate issued by a competent authority stating that the yearly family income should be less than ₹2.5 lakh.
- Need to have a valid photo ID issued by the government.
- Proof of domicile/ residence as prescribed for verification of eligibility.
Aspirants are advised to keep the documents readable and upload them in the correct size as stipulated in the notification. If the uploads are not partial or too blurry can result in the application being denied.

The SHRESHTA 2026 exam will be offline with objective-type questions.
