A plea/petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court against the attendance policy of Amity Law School. The petition mentioned that the Institute debarred the student arbitrarily. Each student must have 75% of attendance to appear for exams.

According to the Indraprastha Vidyalaya Act, 1998 states that no student will be allowed to appear for examination if he/she has less than 75% of attendance throughout the course.

However, Amity Law School has been accused of compelling the students to give an undertaking if they do not have 75% of attendance in any subject, they would not be allowed to appear for the end-term examination.

Divyadeep Chaturvedi, in his plea, has mentioned that Amity Law School which is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIU) has failed to include on duty attendance, physical presence as well as attendance granted upon regularisation on humanitarian, media or other grounds in the calculation of aggregate attendance.

He criticised the University and the Institute for debarring the students even though they have 50% of physical attendance, even if aggregate attendance after taking into account regularisation of attendance on legal grounds within the prescribed norms.
