Presidency University UG Entrance Exam to Take Place in April
Presidency University, Kolkata has announced that the entrance exam for UG programs will be held on April 11-12 this year. The main reason behind the late exam schedule this year is WBJEE which is scheduled to be held in February 2020.
The entrance exam for the undergraduate programs for Presidency University is scheduled to be conducted on April 11th and 12th, 2020. The entrance exam is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board and as compared to the last year, the exam has been scheduled 2 months ahead.
The chairman of the JEE board, Malayendu Saha stated that the exams were conducted generally in the month of May-June as of the year 2018 and 2019. However, as the WBJEE is scheduled to be held in February 2019; the university will conduct the exam in April this year. He further stated that the gap in the exams will be beneficial to hold onto the UG entrance exam. Also, if the ranks for the admission test will be opened soon, students will not be moving out of Bengal to seek admission to some other colleges.

Note that the entrance exam is known by the name PUBDET (Presidency University Bachelor Degree Entrance Test) which is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board in order to get admission into undergraduate programs at Presidency University, Kolkata.

The Presidency University UG entrance examination will be filled and submitted online for which the portal will open from January 9, 2020. The last date for closing the online form application will be February 6, 2020. The test will be of offline mode (pen and paper) and will be a total of 90 minutes duration.
