President Kovind Visits Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana University
President Kovind visits S-VYASA University and sets the foundation for JSS Academy in Mysuru, as a part of the three-day tour of Karnataka. BS Yediyurappa, Cheif Minister of Karnataka invited president for this tour.
Ram Nath Kovind, Honorable President of India Visits the Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana university founded by HR Nagendra with aim of promoting traditional yoga practices on 12th October 2019. S-VYASA is one of the deemed educational institutes of India that are solely dedicated to Traditional Wellness methods like Yoga, Naturopathy and Ayurveda. The University provides multiple courses to students at Certificate, Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral Level.
BS Yediyurappa, Cheif Minister of Karnataka invited president for a three-day tour of the state which started on 10th October 2019 from Raj Bhavan. President’s visit to S-VYASA was scheduled under the same three-day Karnataka tour.
C. N. Ashwath Narayan and Govind Karjol, Deputy Chief Ministers of Karnataka accompanied President and Cheif Minister in the three-day tour. M Vijay Bhaskar Secretary of CM was also a part of the tour. In the last two days of tour, the president visited Varuna Village and neighbouring areas of Mysurur region.

On 11th October, President Kovind set the founding stone of JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research at Varuna Village in Mysuru. He also spoke at the event regarding the healthcare conditions in India and challenges faced on a daily basis by commoners of our country.
President Kovind talked about the healthcare difficulties faced by people of India by categorizing them into three main categories that are - Communicable Diseases, Non- Communicable Diseases and Emerging Diseases. He also spoke about the tropical issues like Malnutrition in several regions of the country.
On 10th October President Kovind attended the Birth Anniversary Celebration of Late Jayachamaraja Wadiya in Mysore and spoke about his greatness as an excellent Ruler, Exceptional Administrator, Philosopher, and Philanthropist.
