Students demand NEET 2021 to be postponed till October as the class 12 board exams will most likely take place in July-August. NTA will announce the decision on NEET 2021 soon.
Most likely CBSE class 12 board exams 2021 to be held in July-August, making it impossible for the NEET aspirants to appear for the exam on 1st August 2021. The demand to postpone the NEET 2021 exam to October increased after the high-level meeting conducted by the Education Minister with state education ministers and CBSE board officials. The decision related to NEET 2021 exam will be released after June 3, once the decision on the CBSE is released.
CBSE will most likely release the class 12th time table 2021 after June 3 Most likely the there will be changes in the CBSE class 12 exam pattern. The exams will be for 90 minutes instead of 3 hours.
Reasons to Postpone NEET 2021 to October
Some of the major reasons why NTA should postpone NEET 2021 to October are as follows:
- CBSE will most likely conduct class 12 board exams 2021 in July-August and the result will be released in September. Therefore, NTA should conduct NEET 2021 in October so that students have time between board exams and NEET 2021.
- Over 15 lakh students are expected to appear in the NEET 2021 exam and with the second wave of COVID and increasing cases, it will be much safer to conduct the exam in October when the cases are expected to decline. This will ensure the safety of the students.
- 95% of the candidates who have to appear in NEET 2021 are not vaccinated so the wise decision to postpone NEET 2021 to October.
- The application form and the official notification brochure for NEET 2021 has not been released. It is likely that the exam will be postponed
