Keeping the increasing demand for creative design professionals in mind, the World University of Design has begun its application process for 2019-20 admissions in WUD. The university will also conduct an entrance test for admissions.

World University of Design Invites Applications for 2019-20

Design as a profession has recently come to limelight and is gaining popularity among the students who want to get into the creative stuff in their career. World University of Design, New Delhi is one of the Best Design Institutes of India and students are generally eager to get admission in the university to study designs of Auto, Electronics, Gaming, White Goods, FMCG, Media & Entertainment, etc. The bachelor's courses in design are generally of 4 years in the World University of Design. The University offers not only bachelors courses but also Masters, Diploma and Ph.D. design courses also.

For admissions in the World University of Design, the candidates have to submit the form online or offline which is available to download and fill up in the official site of WUD. The last date of application submission in the World University of Design is 21st April 2019. The admissions 2019 at the World University of Design will be assured by three different entrance tests applicable for different course admissions for World University of Design. The entrance tests that are taken for admissions in the World University of Design are, Art Aptitude Test or AAT, Design Aptitude Test or DAT, and Graduate Aptitude Test or GAT after which, a personal interview of the candidate will be taken for admissions in 2019-20 academic year of the World University of Design.

The World University of Design is one of the few universities in India that offers modern designing courses on subjects such as Fashion Design, Art, Architecture, Communication, Product, Curation, Management, Art Education, and Humanities, etc. Other than these, the University of Design also offers B.Des (Bachelor of Design), M.Des (Master of Design) degrees in specialisations like Fashion Design and Transport Design and BBA, MBA course in Design and Strategy Management.

The vice chancellor of WUD, Prof. Sanjay Gupta said that the creative courses in India have seen immense growth in the past few years and Industries are also demanding students who have a degree in creative fields. He also said that the world industry will be growing massively by 2024 and it will require trained designers in every sector. India’s manufacturing and automotive Industries will also be in dire need of the design professionals in the near future.

The World University of Designs also provides 100% educational scholarships to the needy and meritorious people. Though the admissions in the university are completely merit-based, there is a domicile policy in effect for the students of Haryana. The University also accepts the scores of NIFT exam, NID, CEED, CET, CAT, MAT, XAT, etc for admissions. The applicants are suggested to check out the official website to check which external common examination is accepted for which course.

Most of the Bachelor's courses’ duration at the World University of Design is 4 years except Bachelor in Architecture course, whose duration is 5 years. Also, 1-year Diploma courses are available for students looking for a short-term specialisation in Design.
