Design as a profession has recently come to the limelight and is gaining popularity among the students who want to get into the creative field. All the degrees available at WUD are UGC approved. The Bachelor's courses in design stretch from 3-4 years in the World University of Design. To get admission in the World University of Design, the candidates have to submit the registration form before the last date expires. The deadline to fill up and submit the application form is June 09, 2021. The entrance exam of WUD is scheduled to be held on June 11, 2021, and candidates need to attempt it from home, via an online mode.
Admissions 2021 at the World University of Design will be assured by three different entrance exams applicable for different courses offered by WUD. The entrance tests that are taken for admissions in the World University of Design are, Art Aptitude Test or AAT/ PG AAT, Design Aptitude Test or DAT/ PG DAT, and Graduate Aptitude Test or GAT/ PG GAT after which, a personal interview of the candidate will be conducted.
The Design Aptitude Test (DAT) is designed to shortlist candidates for UG/ PG Design, Fashion & Communication programmes, Art Aptitude Test (AAT) selects students for UG/PG Visual Art programmes and General Aptitude Test (GAT) shortlists candidates for the UG/PG Management programmes. Admission to the Architecture programme will be done as per the marks secured in the qualifying examinations such as NATA/ JEE or other tests as prescribed by the Council of Architecture.

It must be noted that WUD also accept valid scores obtained in NID, NIFT, D-Art, UCEED and CEED in lieu of DAT and scores secured in CAT, CET, MAT and XAT in lieu of GAT. The university also considers SAT Scores for WUD admissions 2021. Although the admissions 2021 at WUD is completely merit-based, there is a domicile policy in effect for the students of Haryana.
The World University of Design is one of the few universities in India that offers modern designing courses on subjects such as Design, Art, Architecture, Communication, Product, Curation, Management, Art Education, and Humanities, etc. Other than these, the University of Design also offers B.Des (Bachelor of Design), M.Des (Master of Design) degrees in specialisations like Fashion Design and Transport Design and BBA, MBA course in Design and Strategy Management.
The vice-chancellor of WUD, Prof. Sanjay Gupta believes that the creative courses in India have seen immense growth in the past few years and Industries are also appreciating the need of students who have a degree in creative fields. He further adds that the industry will be growing massively by 2024 which will increase the demand for trained designers in every sector.

The duration of most of the courses at the World University of Design is 3-4 years except Bachelor in Architecture course, whose duration is 5 years. Also, 1-year Diploma courses are available for students looking for a short-term specialisation in Design.
