World University of Design (WUD), Sonepat Admissions 2025

The World University of Design (WUD) has begun accepting applications for the 2024 academic year. For admission in Master's degree in Design (MDes) at WUD, the results for CEED 2024 have been released. Also, UCEED 2024 result is released at uceed.iitb.ac.in. Candidates can use their user login and password (created during registration) to view the results. The scorecard will be available for download starting March 11, 2024. 

The following steps will be followed for admission to World University of Design courses :

• The application must be properly filled out and submitted together with the required money.
• The candidates are required to show up for the aptitude test after the admission cards are made available online. The students will be selected for further consideration based on their performances, and those who move on to the following round will be announced online.
• During an individual interview with a panel, the student will participate. The interview panel will query the candidate on his or her chosen field of study. Physical displays of creative evidence, such as portfolios, crafts, photography, and artwork, are also an option.
• The selected  applicants will receive an invitation to apply for World University of Design admission. Using email, the offer will be delivered. The acceptance letter will contain information on how to pay fees at the time of admission, how to reserve a place in a hostel, and when, where, and on what day the academic session will begin. 

Please note that :

• The admission offer for WUD will only be valid for the candidate's selected programme for the current academic session. A request to alter the curriculum could be taken into account if there are still seats available after the first semester. 
• In order to accept the offer of admission from World University of Design, applicants must appear in person on campus with genuine paperwork for verification. Additionally, they are required to pay the fees.

World University of Design Entrance Exams

Exams for the DAT, AAT, and GAT will be administerd by the institute for  World University of Design admission 2024. This approach seeks to determine a student's capacity for creative learning and to help them select the career that best suits their inherent skill sets. In place of the DAT, valid results from the NIFT, NID, D-Art, CEED, and UCEED exams may be used, and in place of the GAT, valid results from the CET, CAT, MAT, and XAT tests may be used. For admission to World University of Design, SAT scores are also acceptable.

World University of Design provides a doctorate curriculum (Ph.D.) that is designed to meet worldwide standards. The University encourages innovation and quality in educational research and development. The institution offers several chances for students, subject supervisors, and research researchers to support and develop their research interests. Doctoral students at World University of Design are encouraged to conduct problem-oriented studies and to use sophisticated research methodologies to address real-world issues. The research scholars are encouraged to collaborate with worldwide topic specialists in order to grasp the global dynamics of their study field.

Eligibility Criteria for World University of Design PhD Admission 2024

According to WUD rules, individuals who have completed any of the following qualifications are eligible to apply for admission to the PhD programme.

 INDIAN STUDENTS :

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline with 55% aggregate marks or equivalent, subject to passing a written test (step 1) and an interview (step 2);
•  SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ differently-abled applicants are eligible for a 5% pay cut. 

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:

• A Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant subject from a reputable university.
• A minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or an equivalent English language qualifying test.
• Proven writing abilities. 

Admission Procedure for World University of Design PhD Admission 2024

• Admission to the Ph.D. programmes will be determined by a written exam and an interview. A design background is not required, and individuals from other disciplines are encouraged to apply. 
• An candidate will be shortlisted for an interview (step 2), which has a 60% weightage, based on his/her performance in the university's written test (step 1), which carries a 40% weightage. 
• To be eligible for admission to the PhD course, the candidate must achieve a minimum of 55% weightage in the entrance test (step 1+step 2). 

Please Note : Students who have passed any UGC-recognized PhD entrance exam, or National Level examinations such as UGC/CSIR NET, DBT (JRF), ICMR, DST (INSPIRE), etc., or any other University's PhD or comparable admission exam, will proceed directly to Step 2.

How to apply for World University of Design PhD Admission 2024?

Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements must complete the admission form and submit all needed documentation. All application forms will be evaluated by a separate screening committee, with representatives from the Doctoral Research Committee and University experts in the appropriate fields. Candidates selected based on their academic record and relevant experience will take part in a written test administered by the University.
