CEED 2024

CEED 2024: The Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) is a national-level entrance exam for the M.Des programmes in prestigious institutes like IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur. The exam is conducted once a year. The upcoming CEED exam 2024 is scheduled for the 4th week of January 2024. The exam will last for 3 hours and will be computer-based. CEED 2024 application forms will be available in the last week of September 2023. Applications must be submitted online at ceed.iitb.ac.in. Candidates must register, fill out personal, academic, and contact information, upload documents, and pay the test price as part of the application procedure.

The CEED 2024 syllabus includes topics such as visualisation, application of fundamental scientific and mathematical knowledge, observational, perceptual, and reasoning abilities, creative and problem-solving abilities, art, craft, culture, design, and environment. The CEED 2024 question paper will be divided into two sections: 1) the computer-based Part A, which will last one hour and include questions from three sections - NAT, MSQ, and MCQ, and 2) the offline-based Part B, which will last two hours and include two questions: one on Drawing and one on Design aptitude. Candidates must pass Part A for their Part B answer booklets to be reviewed. IIT will reveal the Part A cut-off marks before the announcement of CEED 2024 results. CEED 2024 Conducting Body

IIT Bombay will conduct CEED 2023. IIT Bombay is the second-oldest institute of the IIT system after IIT Kharagpur. IIT Bombay was founded in the year 1958 and is a public engineering as well as a research institution located in Powai, Mumbai, India. IIT Bombay offers various programmes in Science and Technology at the UG, PG and PhD levels.

Around 5,500 students will likely enrol for the CEED 2024 test this year. Last year, 4,910 people registered for the exam, but only 1,886 people showed up. Aspirants who want to study at top IITs should develop a viable CEED test preparation approach to pass the entrance exam easily.

What’s NEW About CEED 2024?

A new section on sustainability will be included in the CEED 2024 exam. The exam will also place a greater emphasis on problem-solving skills from this year onwards. The CEED 2024 exam syllabus has been modified to incorporate additional subjects. The exam will be given online, and registration has been simplified. CEED 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates can check the eligibility criteria of CEED 2024 before applying for the CEED entrance exam 2024.

  • Candidates applying for CEED 2024 must have a Graduation degree in Engineering/Architecture/ Design/Interior Design or equivalent from a recognised University after 10+2.

  • Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (4-year professional programme after 10+2) can apply for a Master’s programme in Designing.

  • Final-year candidates are also eligible to apply for CEED, but such candidates must provide proof of their qualifications at the time of counselling.

  • Candidates who have completed the 5-year programme (after 10th grade) in G.D. Arts are also eligible to apply for CEED.

  • Candidates possessing a Master’s degree in Science/ Arts/ Computer Applications (2-year programme after 10+2+3) may also apply.

  • Candidates with a Professional Diploma in Design after 10+2 (NID/ CEPT or an equivalent of 4 years programme) are also eligible to apply for CEED.

CEED Admission Process 2024

CEED Syllabus 2024

The CEED 2024 syllabus is divided into 2 parts - Part A and Part B. The candidates can check the list of important topics that are being covered in the syllabus for CEED 2023.

CEED Result 2024

CEED 2024 results will be announced provisionally in the first week of March 2024. The results will be available online at the CEED 2024 admission site - ceed.iitb.ac.in. The candidate must log in to the official website using their candidate credentials to view their results. The results will include all applicants' Part A scores. The Part B marks and CEED 2024 merit ranks, on the other hand, will be issued solely to those who have been nominated. Part A qualification was required for candidates to be considered for the shortlist.  

The CEED 2024 scorecard will be available for download from the second week of March 2024 until the second week of June 2024. The scorecard is available for download via the candidate site. The candidate does not receive hard copies of the scorecard. Part A will receive 25% of the final CEED score, whereas Part B will receive 75% of the total CEED score.

CEED Cutoff 2024

The CEED 2024 cutoff marks for Part A will be released by IIT Bombay in the second week of February 2024. The cut-off will be decided by parameters such as seat intake, total admission applications received, applicant category, and so forth. Part A has category-specific cut-off marks that are used to select candidates. Please keep in mind that Part B answer booklets will only be reviewed for applicants who have been shortlisted. The admission cut-off for CEED 2024 will be established by participating universities at the time of seat allocation and will differ from the Part A cut-off. The admission cut-off is the lowest rank an applicant must achieve in their category to be admitted. 

CEED Counseling 2024

CEED Counselling 2024 is the procedure through which individuals who pass the CEED 2024 test are admitted to the M. Des programmes provided by the participating institutes. Candidates will be able to pick their desired institute and programme throughout the online counselling process.

After the CEED 2024 results are declared, the counselling procedure will commence. Candidates will be asked to register for the counselling procedure, and their CEED scores will be used to rank them. Candidates will then be able to select their desired institute and programme, and seats will be assigned depending on their ranking and the availability of seats.

CEED 2024 Exam Centres

During the registration process, the candidates are given the option to choose 3 cities of their choice out of the 24 examination centres of CEED 2024. After the submission of an application form, no request will be entertained for a change of city by the IIT Bombay under any circumstances.

How many seats are there in CEED 2024?

The Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is held in 24 Indian cities. Exam centres are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. If your desired exam location is unavailable, you may be able to select a different location.

How many students appear for the CEED exam?

CEED 2024 has 302 seats available for M.Des programmes given by member institutes. IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur are among the participating institutes. The number of seats available in each specialisation differs as per institute.

Is CEED held every year?
