CBSE Class 12 Physical Education Weightage 2026 : As per the latest curriculum released by the board, the total marks are divided into two parts: Theory of 70 marks and Practical of 30 marks. The theory exam consists of topics like sports planning, nutrition, yoga, biomechanics, and psychology in sports, from which very short, short, and long answer questions will be asked in the paper. Whereas, the practical exam includes a physical fitness test, skill proficiency in a chosen sport, viva voce, and a record file, each contributing to the 30 marks. Physical Education is an optional subject in class 12, and you can take the Physical Education exam irrespective of your stream. Since it is a scoring subject, you can opt for this as your main subject. There are a total of 10 units in theory, and three units are in the practical exam.
