How is GUJCET Merit List Prepared? - GUJCET exam merit list 2024 will be released by Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) by May 30, 2024 (tentatively). The authorities release the GUJCET merit list pdf in online mode. The GUJCET 2024 merit list contains the names of the candidates who have qualified for the Gujarat Common Entrance Exam and are eligible to take admission into the GUJCET participating institutes 2024 after completing the counselling process. 

Candidates can check the merit list released by ACPC using their application form number and password. The merit list is prepared on the basis of 60% weightage given to the marks scored by the candidates in their class 12 in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The other 40% is given to the candidates on the basis of the marks obtained in the GUJCET 2024 exam. GUJCET result 2024 is released by GSEB on its official website on May 9, 2024.

GUJCET Merit List Preparation Formula

The GUJCET 2024 Merit List will be prepared after the GUJCET result 2024 is declared based on several factors. We will discuss all the aspects in the pointers below- 

1. The first aspect to which the merit list of GUJCET 2024 will be made is focusing on the candidate's score in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths or Biology in class 12 and the marks obtained in GUJCET 2024 exam
2. As per the  GUJCET 2024 marking scheme, 60% emphasis is given to the marks obtained by the candidates in their class 12 and 40% emphasis on the marks obtained in the Gujarat Common Entrance Exam
3. The qualified candidates' names will be mentioned in the GUJCET merit list 2024
4. The merit list of GUJCET 2024 will be prepared using the normalization method. 
5. Candidates need to note that the GUJCET 2024 merit list will be prepared on the basis of the seats available in the respective GUJCET participating institutes 2024

The tie-breaking criteria of GUJCET are adapted when candidates score the same marks in the GUJCET 2024 exam. It should be noted that the GUJCET 2024 Tie-Breaker Criteria is adapted only to break ties in the GUJCET 2024 scores. According to the GUJCET Tie-Breaker Criteria 2024, candidates who score higher marks in physics and chemistry are given higher preferences. If after calculating the marks on the basis of maths and physics scores the tie exists, the marks are compared and the preference is given to the candidates with high Mathematics and Chemistry scores. If the tie is still intransitive, sectional marks are compared for all the categories.

The GUJCET result 2024 contains particulars about the total scores of the candidate, subject-wise scores, and percentile ranks in the Gujarat Common Entrance Exam.
