Gujarat State Education Board (GSEB) will announce the GUJCET 2020 result for the candidates who have appeared for the entrance exam. The Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET 2020) will be conducted on March 31, 2020, by Gujarat Secondary Education Board (GSEB). Every year, GUJCET result is announced in the month of May. After the result is declared, candidates can access their respective scorecards by using their 6 digit seat number. GUJCET 2020 Normalization Policy

The exam conducting authority of GUJCET will implement normalization policy for calculating the GUJCET final score 2020. The final score of GUJCET 2020 can be considered as the normlized score. The normalized score of GUJCET will help the exam authority to prepare the merit list.

GUJCET 2020 Merit List will be prepared on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the GUJCET 2020 entrance exam and Senior Secondary Exam. While calculating the marks, 60% weightage is given to the candidate’s 10+2 result and the entrance exam result will carry 40% weightage.

The normalisation of marks is a grading practice followed to assess the candidate’s performance in the GUJCET 2020 entrance exam in a fair manner. The marks scored by the candidates in a major entrance exam like GUJCET may differ depending upon the difficulty level of different sets. Normalisation is done to keep such factors away while determining the merit of the candidates.

Is the GUJCET merit list common for all categories?

No, merit lists are prepared separately for various categories. However, there will a common merit list for GUJCET qualifiers. Seat allotment will be done as per the category-wise merit list.

How are merit marks calculated for GSEB/CBSE/ICSE/NIOS for Engineering admissions?

Sum of 60% weightage of the percentile obtained in the theory subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and 40% weightage of the percentile obtained in the GUJCET shall be the merit marks.
