UGC NET certificate is an official document issued by NTA to candidates who have passed the exam. UGC NET December Certificate 2026 will be available after the release of the results. UGC NET 2025 result will be available along with the cut-off marks online in February 2026.
UGC NET December Certificate 2025 will be released a few weeks after the declaration of the result. UGC NET June result will be released in February 2026. You can easily check the result using your application number and date of birth from the official website of NTA at ugcet.nta.ac.in. The certificate acts as proof that the candidate has successfully passed the UGC NET exam. You can easily download the certificate from the official website once the portal is activated online. Along with the certificate, NTA also issues the JRF award letter. The validity of the UGC NET e-certificate is for the lifetime of the Assistant Professor post. However, for the JRF position, the award letter is valid for three years from the date of issue.

How to Download UGC NET 2025 e-Certificate?
To download the UGC NET 2025 e-certificate, candidates need to follow the following steps:
Step 1 : Visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) for UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.ac.in
Step 2 : On the homepage, scroll down to the bottom and click on the “UGC NET E-Certificate” link.
Step 3 : You will be prompted to enter your Application Number, Date of Birth, and the Security Pin displayed on the screen.
Step 4 : After entering the required details, click on the “Submit” button.
Step 5 : Once submitted, your UGC NET scorecard will be displayed on the screen. You must locate and click on the “Download Certificate” button.
Step 6 : On the download page, you will need to enter your Roll Number, Date of Birth, and Exam Centre code.
Step 7 : After providing the necessary information, click on the “Submit” button.
Step 8 : The UGC NET certificate will be displayed on the screen for your review.
Step 9 : Finally, download the certificate and take a printout for future reference and official use.
What is the Validity of the UGC NET Certificate?
The UGC NET certificate has a lifetime validity for applying for the post of Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. However, for candidates aspiring to avail of the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), the validity of the certificate is limited to three years from the date of issue. This distinction ensures that while the eligibility for teaching positions remains perpetual, the fellowship aimed at promoting research is time-bound to encourage timely initiation into research projects. Candidates must retain the e-certificate for future reference and as evidence of their academic qualifications.

What to Do If I Don’t Receive My UGC NET e-Certificate?
If you do not receive the electronic copy of your UGC NET Certificate, you should contact the authorities via email at ugcnet@nta.ac.in or ecertificate@nta.ac. Send a cover email to the provided address stating that you have not received your UGC NET Certificate, including your Roll No., the date of the UGC-NET exam you took, and the UGC-Ref. No. if known.
If you have not yet submitted attested copies of your documents, you can attach them to the email. The documents should be attested by a gazetted officer, with their official stamp bearing their name, designation, and official address.
