UGC NET History Cutoff for December 2025 (Expected): Check Category-wise Cutoff for JRF, PhD, Assistant Professor
The UGC NET History December 2025 cutoff marks for JRF, Assistant Professor, and PhD admission will be based on exam difficulty, candidate feedback, and overall performance. The cutoff for the General category is expected to be around 190 for JRF and 170 for Assistant Professor.
UGC NET History Cutoff for December 2025 will be released by February, 2026, officially by NTA. After the release of the result, the cutoff marks for each category will be provided here. The exam difficulty level, candidate feedback, and the number of successful attempts in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 across all shifts will have an impact on the expected UGC NET December 2025 History cutoff. The expected UGC NET 2025 cutoff in History for the December session is 190 for JRF and 170 for Assistant Professor in the unreserved category. The expected cut-off scores for the OBC category are 185 for JRF and 160 for Assistant Professor. The expected cutoff for SC/ST candidates are 170 marks for JRF and 150 marks for Assistant Professor.
Candidates must obtain the minimum qualifying marks in addition to meeting the cut-off scores. While candidates from SC, ST, OBC, and other reserved categories must receive at least 35% aggregate marks, those from the general category must receive at least 40%.

UGC NET History Qualifying Marks 2025
Before candidates worry about clearing the UGC NET History cutoff, they must achieve the UGC NET qualifying marks. It is to be noted that the candidates have to score these minimum qualifying marks determined by NTA, other than the UGC NET 2025 cutoff marks in both papers of UGC NET, to get shortlisted for the post of JRF or Assistant Professorship. The UGC NET qualifying marks vary with each category. The minimum qualifying mark for the general category candidates is 40%, and that for the reserved candidates is 35%.
