For the upcoming year, the IIT Guwahati has introduced a new sectional paper under the Engineering Sciences (XE) paper. The latest addition is the Energy Science (XE-I ) paper. The paper will focus mainly on core engineering science subjects such as fluid mechanics, materials science, solid mechanics, thermodynamics, polymer science and engineering, food technology, and atmospheric and oceanic sciences.
