Admission Notice- NIT Durgapur Announces Admission for M.Tech/Ph.D. 2016

National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur invites applications for admission to Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program under part-time and full-time (without fellowship), institute research scholar (with fellowship) offered in various research areas for the academic session 2016.

Eligibility Criteria for--

M.Tech Programs: Candidates with 60% marks should have passed degree Examination and secured at least 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Ph.D. Programs:

Candidates having M.Tech/ M.E/ M.Arch/ M.Pharm/ with at least 6.5 CGPA or 60 percent marks in aggregate in the M. Tech/equivalent level from a recognized technical institute or university.

Candidates having B.Tech/ B.E/ MCA/ B. Arch/ B.Pharm with at least 7.5 CGPA or 70 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized technical institute or university.

Candidates can apply online from the website of the Institute
The application fee for M.Tech program is Rs. 1000/- and Rs. 1500/- for Ph.D. program.

Selection Procedure -

After screening applications short-listed candidates will be called for admission test and/or viva voce.
All shortlisted candidates shall have to appear for the admission test.

Friday, June 24, 2016. Last date for submission of completed application:
Thursday, June 30, 2016.Last date of receiving printed version of application form

For M.Tech Program:

Monday, July 11, 2016, to Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Dates of written test and viva-voce:
The date of Publication of Results:Friday, July 15, 2016.

For Ph.D. Program:

Dates of written test and viva-voce: Thursday, July 14, 2016, to Friday, July 15, 2016.
Publication of Results: Tuesday, July 19, 2016.
