NIT Durgapur Admissions 2023: The last date of application for the JEE Main 2024 exam is November 30, 2023. Students need to complete the registration to be able to participate in the JEE Main 2024 exam which is required for NIT Durgapur B.Tech admission 2024. JEE Main 2024 session 1 and 2 will be conducted on January 24 - February 01, 2024, and April 01 - 15, 2024, respectively. GATE 2024 is scheduled for February 3, February 4, February 10, and February 11, 2024. On the other hand, JAM 2024 will take place on February 11, 2024.

Every year, NIT Durgapur holds a placement drive for final-year students. Placement drives are held at the institutefor students in their seventh semester or at the start of their final year. The NIT Durgapur placement drive begins in July, with top recruiters receiving invitations in May. Academic institutions, Public Sector Undertakings, R&D laboratories, Management organizations, Consultancy firms, Manufacturing industries, IT/software industries, and Core Engineering industries are among the industries that visit NIT Durgapur.
The students will be prepared for the placement process by being trained and groomed. NIT Durgapur campus covers an area of 187 acres. There are seven boys' hostels and two girls' hostels on the NIT Durgapur campus. The library on the NIT Durgapur campus is trendy and is housed in a separate three-story building. It has over lakh volumes, including reference books, textbooks, and other journals. Inside the library, there is also wi-fi and a xerox machine. NIT Durgapur campus has two canteens for students and staff. One is near the academic building, and the other is near the main academic building's rear exit. There is also an SBI, Canara Bank, and a post office nearby.
National Institute of Technology Durgapur Infrastructure
The institute has a well-equipped computer centre, and the NIT Durgapurcampus is well-known for its High Voltage Laboratory, which is used for graduate research and undergraduate teaching. According to the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), high voltage and high power laboratories are required because they incur high costs and necessitate the availability of specialised faculty and skilled personnel. However, the NIT Durgapurcampus is one of the few that provides such a service. There is a medical unit-cum hospital on the NIT Durgapur campus for both indoor and outdoor patient care. Two resident doctors and other medical personnel staff the medical unit around the clock. The medical unit's services are available to students and staff. If the students require specialised care, they will be referred to the state government hospital or another advanced medical facility.
National Institute of Technology Durgapur Facilities
The institute provides excellent facilities. The facilities at NIT Durgapur are available to enrolled students and dedicated faculty members. The campus provides accommodations for its students and a canteen for all members. Residential quarters are provided for NIT Durgapur'steachers and faculty. There is also a modern and updated guest house on the main campus.
Furthermore, for the students' convenience, NIT Durgapur facilities include a shopping complex that caters to the daily needs of students and faculty members. The shopping centre is located in the heart of the residential complex. NIT Durgapur also has a co-educational higher secondary school to serve the needs of the institute's employees' children.
Overall: Overall NIT Durgapur is a way better than the some of privates collages for engineering , it have very good placement as well as internship opportunity along with that the campus life of NIT Durgapur is awesome.
Placement: The placement statistic of NIT Durgapur is very good with the highest package of 50 LPA or more than that and having 11 LPA average package. The placement percentage of NIT Durgapur is different for different branches but overall placement percentage of NIT Durgapur is goes up to 90% .
Infrastructure: NIT Durgapur have a very good well established infrastructure consist of 14 Hostels , Main Academic Building, New Academic Building and various building for various department , and libraries for study purpose of students.
Faculty: Faculty members of NIT Durgapur are well educated and done their PhD from prestigious collages like IIT's , they all have a good teaching experience of average 7 years, the ratio of student and faculty in NIT Durgapur is nearly 1:7.
Hostel: There are total 14 hostel in NIT Durgapur , Hall-11 and Hall-14 is the newest hostels of NIT Durgapur usually these two hostels is allotted to the freshers , Hall-11 is allotted to the freshers boys and Hall-10 is allotted to the freshers girls. All the hostel is present near the academic section of collage.
Overall: Overall college is good. Placements, enjoyment, faculty is very good. Infrastructure is getting good year by year and many new hostels are being built
Placement: Excellent. Placements are getting better year by year. Nearly 80% students gets placed every year. Coming to my branch, nearly90% students gets placed. Average lpa is 7.
Infrastructure: Good. As college is old,infrastructure is not that good. But it is getting good year by year and there is a good development now. It got central library, student activity centre and many laboratories.
Faculty: Good. Faculty are highly qualified and experienced. They are very good in helping students in research and project issues. Now a days they are using smart class to teach
Hostel: At present only first years got new hostels. Remaining hostels are under construction. By next year they will get ready. So no need to worry about hostel. At present 3 students are alloted to each room
