Ashoka University & IIM-A Collaborate to Design Curriculum for Entrepreneurship Course
According to sources, Mukesh Sud and Ankur Sarin, faculty of IIM-A will deliver lectures to the students, and the students need to undergo six Entrepreneurship courses in three years.
The Centre for Entrepreneurship of Ashoka University will soon offer a course on Entrepreneurship to the students. For this purpose, the varsity has collaborated with Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad to design the curriculum for the course. The programme will be offered to the undergraduate students of the varsity as a minor subject. The curriculum will be designed by Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) of IIM-Ahmedabad.

According to sources, Mukesh Sud and Ankur Sarin, faculty of IIM-A will deliver lectures to the students. The students will be required to undergo six Entrepreneurship courses in three years. Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder of Ashoka University, revealed that they are delighted to collaborate with IIM-A to deliver the course. He said that the course will be designed in such a way that the students who aspire to become entrepreneurs, will be able to learn the different aspects of the subject. Students will get a fair idea about the skills required to succeed in the process. One will be able to develop both entrepreneurial and managerial skills.

President of India, Pranab Mukherjee has also been emphasising on incubating new ideas through his lectures and speeches at various universities and colleges.
Recently, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore also launched the ‘Women Startup Programme' to encourage women to develop ideas and start their own ventures. The programme received a massive response as the total number of 1,700 women took part in the first stage of the programme. Among them, 300 participants submitted their ideas, and an assessment panel selected 50 top ideas. The participants will be trained in both entrepreneurial and managerial skills.
The government of Telangana is also giving more importance to research and innovation. Recently, the government launched research and innovation hubs to incubate new ideas.
