Four IIT Patna Students Bag Rs. 40 Lakh Salary Package
The final placement process at IIT Patna has commenced. So far, 84 students secured jobs in the campus placements, and the highest package offered was Rs. 40 lakh per annum.
The placement process at IIT Patna and NIT Patna is underway, and students are being offered lucrative jobs in top multinational companies, government agencies and IT firms. At IIT Patna, Code Nation has selected four students for an annual package of Rs. 40 lakh . DE Shaw selected one student from IIT Patna for an annual payment of Rs. 33.5 lakh . On the other hand, a final-year IIT Patna student bagged an international offer from Fujifilm Software Company Limited with an annual salary of Rs. 36 lakh.
The current placement figures of IIT Patna clearly indicate the outstanding performance of the institute in all aspects. Faculty-In-Charge of Training and Placement at IIT Patna, Mr. Amarnath Hegde revealed that more than 35 companies participated in the first phase placement process of IIT Patna. In just two weeks, 84 jobs have been offered to students, he added.

Mr. Amarnath Hegde further revealed that firms like Capgemini, Infosys, L&T Heavy Engineering, L&T Construction, Cognum, Future First, and Goldman Sachs participated in the first phase of placement drive to recruit eligible students. The selection process of these companies includes group discussions, aptitude tests, technical sessions, and interviews. The minimum salary package offered was Rs. 11.5 lakh per annum till date. The placement process will continue for the next two months, and more details will be announced soon, he explained.

The performance of NIT Patna in campus placements 2018 -19 is up to the mark. Two B.Tech students have been selected a reputed company for an annual payment of Rs. 27.5 lakh . On the other hand, five students have secured a job offer of Rs. 14 lakh per annum. So far, 279 B.Tech, B.Arch, and M.Tech students have secured jobs in campus placements. Popular companies like LG Soft, Info Edge and Sabre have recruited the eligible students.
