IIM Indore to Organize 8th CERE - A Research Education Conference from May 4
- IIM Indore will be hosting a four-day event - Conference on Excellence in Research and Education (CERE) from May 4.
- The conference marks the celebration of the 50th year of three of the most influential management literature of the last century.
Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Indore will be hosting the eighth Conference on Excellence in Research and Education (CERE) from 4th May to 7th May 2017. 'Celebrating 50 years of Contingency Theory' is the theme of this conference.
The conference will mark the 50th year of three of the most influential management literature of the last century which are Organization and Environment by Paul R. Lawrence, Organisations in Action: Social Science Bases of Administrative Theory by James D. Thompson and A Theory of Leadership Effectiveness by Fred Fiedler.

The conference is aimed at deliberating and exchanging views on the theory and ideas of these three seminal management books of the century.
Professor Pulak Ghosh, from IIM Bangalore and Professor Rajendra Srivastav, from ISB Hyderabad will be a delivering their thoughts on the plenary lectures.
Professor Emeritus, Professor Richard Burton from the Duke University will discuss the keynotes on the Theory of Contingency.
Professor Ramadhar Singh will be organising a Science and Scientific Writing workshop and Professor N.K. Sharma from IIT Kanpur will be conducting a workshop on the Experimental Design.

Research scholars, MBA students and faculty from various top universities and colleges across the country will be participating in the conference.
The conference will be organising a cultural event for all the people who are attending the same. A conference dinner is also planned for the attendees which will enable participants to interact with everyone around and achieve maximum benefit from this four-day event.
