IIT-Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad students opted for Indian attire during their convocation on Monday, 18th June rather than the traditional gown they had been wearing for almost 92 years. This year, they also had an option of taking the convocation pledge in Sanskrit.

As per the new dress code, the boys had an option to wear pale white kurta-pajama and the girls of the institution could opt for off-white saree for the convocation.

Apart from the dress code, passing out students had an option to either take the pledge either in English or Sanskrit. The institute planned to introduce the pledge in Sanskrit as it symbolizes the Indian culture.
