IIT Kharagpur Gates Flooded with Pre-Placement Offers
More than 50 pre-placement offers for IIT Kharagpur students before start of new academic session.
IIT Kharagpur students witnessed a bright start with 53 pre-placement offers waiting at their doors even before the start of the new academic session.
Out of these 53 offers, twenty offers were made by Samsung which is the highest number of offers, followed by Texas Instruments and CITI with six offers each.
This is recorded to be the result of the summer internships taken up by the students in the month of May and June, which matured in PPOs.

Top notch companies like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Nomura, Reckitt Benckiser will be entering the gates of IIT Kharagpur with the start of the internship season from August 6 .
Also, the college expects companies from the public sector to come up with internship and placement offers for the students.
According to officials, special emphasis was given on the student's performance during their interviews for both internships and placements. Also, two per-assessment tests will be conducted to test the students in the month of August and the other in September. Apart from this, professional agencies will be providing the students with soft skills training.

The first IIT was set up in Kharagpur and was established in 1951 by Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad.
