After the launch of the project on the earth’s atmosphere, the balloon was capable of rising to a height of 18 kilometres, where it was able to stay in flight for 50 minutes. After the project objective had been completed, the flight had been brought to an end. The basic aim of the project has been to study the different “atmospheric effects” on Earth’s environment. Information received from the students from the institute state that the data that will be recorded from the system will be decoded with the help of MATLAB and will be analysed as well.

As per official notices, SREESAT-1 is capable of calculating different atmospheric parameters such as the temperature, pressure, humidity, ultraviolet as well as infrared violation. Along with calculating various atmospheric parameters, SREESAT-1 was also fitted with GPS which provides the users with the time and the location of the system. The system also comes equipped with a storage capacity of recording four hours of data aboard the system.
