Two New Papers to be Introduced in GATE 2022, Check Details Here

The National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE has decided to introduce two new papers in GATE 2022. With this, the number of subjects/ papers in the GATE exam will be 29. The two new subjects that are going to be added in GATE 2022 are Geomatics Engineering, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. These two new papers will be an advantage for those who are looking for a bright career in Shipping and Geomatics engineering. The detailed eligibility criteria to opt for any of these papers in the entrance exam will be notified in the official information brochure of the entrance exam.

Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering has been selected as one of the subjects in the GATE exam considering the demand from the shipping ministry. On the other hand, Geomatics Engineering plays an important role in collecting, measuring and monitoring geospatial data.

IIT Kharagpur will conduct GATE 2022, and the number of exam centres is expected to be increased. Most students will get an opportunity to take the entrance exam from their hometown. Whatever changes introduced in the 2021 exam will be applicable for the 2022 exam as well. Last year, Arts and Humanities and Environmental Science were introduced in the GATE exam. Also, each applicant can choose a minimum of two papers. On the other hand, 3^rd-year B.Tech students will be eligible to appear for the entrance exam.

The official notification for GATE 2022 is expected to be released in July 2021, and the application form is likely to be released in September 2021.
