The following are the steps to registering for NIFT counselling:

Registration:

• Go to the official webpage.
• Select the 'Register for Counseling' option.
• Enter your login information, including your application number and date of birth.
• Press the 'Submit' button.
• Provide the relevant information, as well as your state of residence and alternate contact information.
• Select the 'Proceed' option.

Documents should be uploaded:

Make the required payment:

NIFT will verify all correctly submitted papers and fees. Candidates will receive a Zoom meeting link with the corresponding counselling date and other instructions on their registered email id following the verification. Candidates should be aware that if the NIFT official discovers any errors in the provided documents after receiving the money, their registration will be refused and returned with repair instructions.

According to the rejection remark, the candidate will be allowed to re-upload the papers or reprocess the fee within the time limit. Applicant registration for counselling will be terminated if the form is not re-submitted within the specified period. The candidate will only be permitted to participate in later rounds of counselling if any.

Important NIFT counseling guidelines for 

• The counseling procedure at NIFT is taking place to fill 4517 seats across its seventeen campuses. Candidates do not have to pay a registration fee for the first round of NIFT counseling.
• Students must input information such as their form number, date of birth, and password to register for NIFT counseling. During the online counseling session, candidates must upload a soft copy of valid papers for verification reasons.
   
• Candidates will receive a Zoom meeting link in their registered email id after successful registration.
   
• Students will be contacted for counseling based on their merit list and seat availability. Students can choose their seat by clicking on the computer screen in the presence of the nodal officer.
   
• After being assigned a seat, candidates must pay the full fee at the NIFT campus. Students will get an allocation letter/receipt from the registration site, which must be collected and signed by the nodal authority.
   

Round 2 of the NIFT Counseling Procedure details

• Candidates who take admission and subsequently withdraw will not be eligible for further rounds of NIFT counselling.
• Candidates will be required to participate in the second phase of the counselling procedure based on merit.
• PWD candidates will not be considered for the NIFT second round of counselling.
• Differently abled applicants assigned NRI seats in round 1 would not be eligible for the following round of NIFT counselling.
• Candidates must register online to participate in the second round of NIFT counselling.
  Except for the NIFT registration fee, the procedure for round 2 of counseling will be the same as the first round. Candidates must register/re-register by making an online payment of Rs.5,000. 

If there are any open NRI seats in round 2, they will be offered to students in round 2.
