How to Apply for NIFT Entrance Exam 2019

National Institute of Fashion Technology issued the NIFT application form 2019 on 22nd October 2018 on its official website. The deadline for submitting the applications is 28th December 2018. Before applying, candidates must go through NIFT eligibility criteria 2019 and ensure that they meet all the requirements. NIFT application process 2019 comprises of the directions that aspirants must follow in order to successfully apply for the entrance exam. Candidates can now also Book a Slot for NIFT Situation Test 2019 until 2nd April 2019 (5 PM). 

How to Fill NIFT Application Form 2019

Candidates have to apply online through the NIFT 2019 official website. All entries in the application form have to be in English language only.

Documents Required for Application Process:

Before filling the online NIFT application form, be ready with the following details:

  • Valid Email address
  • Personal and Qualification details
  • Caste/Tribe certificate for reserved categories
  • Disability Certificate for Persons with Disabilities
  • Scanned photograph and Signature in the required format and size. The Photograph and scanned signature should be in .jpeg/.jpg format and size should not exceed 50 kb.
  • Demand Draft (in case of offline payment).
  • Net banking/Debit/Credit Card details for those who want to pay application fee through online mode.

Create Login ID (New Log In):

  • If you are a first time user, you must go to the official website of NIFT University and click on 'New User' to create your Log In.
  • Enter your email address, date of birth, mobile number and click on the 'Submit' tab.
  • The confirmation mail regarding your registration is sent on your registered email ID.

Filling the NIFT Application Form:

  • After registration, candidates have to fill all the basic and academic details such as Name, Parent's and Guardian's name, Aadhaar Card number, Address, gender, nationality, Class 10th and 12th marks, percentage and so on.
  • If you wish to edit any of the information, you can log in again using your Email ID and Date of Birth.
  • After editing the information, make sure that you save the information by clicking on the tab 'SAVE'.

Upload the Documents:

  • After filling all the necessary details, a candidate has to upload scanned copies of all the necessary documents.
  • The Photograph and Signature should be in jpeg/jpg format.
  • The Passport size photograph should be recent and should have been clicked with a white background.
  • Click on the 'Next Tab' to continue to the next step.

Payment of Fees:

There are two options available for payment of application fee:

  • Demand Draft
  • Debit/Credit Card
  • In case of payment through Demand Draft, make the demand draft of application fee in favour of “NIFT HO”, payable at New Delhi.
  • The payment can also be made through Debit Card/Credit Card, which may include bank and transaction charges.

Those applying through Demand Draft need to send a printout of the application form to the following address so as to reach on or before the stipulated date and time.

Slot Booking for NIFT Situation Test 2019

The slot booking for NIFT Situation Test 2019 has begun. Candidates who have cleared the NIFT entrance exam for the admission to BDes courses offered by National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) can select the date and exam centre for Situation Test until 2nd April by 5 PM. All candidates are required to appear for NIFT Situation Test which is tentatively scheduled to take place in April/ May 2019. Candidates must download the call letter for NIFT Situation Test after entering the required details on the official website of the exam. Candidates can go through the following pointer to know the step-wise process to book a slot for NIFT Situation Test 2019.

  1. Visit the official website of NIFT.
  2. Under the admission section, you will find a link to select date and exam centre for Situation Test 2019.
  3. Click on the link and you will be redirected to a new page. 
  4. Enter your credentials.
  5. Press 'Submit'.
  6. Enter all the requisite details.
  7. Download the call letter for NIFT Situation Test 2019. 

NIFT Application Fee 2019

  • Rs. 1500 for General and OBC (Non-Creamy) category
  • Rs. 750 for SC/ST/PWD category

After successful payment, click on the final 'Submit' tab. Take a printout of the filled application form and confirmation page for future references.

FAQs

1. Do you have any agency or representatives for admission? Is there any management quota?

No. Admissions are purely on merit-based. Please do not be fooled by misrepresentation by any person(s). NIFT does not have any management quota.

2. The admit card has been issued but I am unable to log in. What should I do now?

Not to worry! When the admit card is released, the website usually crashes down due to high traffic. The conducting body will take appropriate measures to resolve the issue.

3. I forgot my application number, how do I download my admit card?

You may download by submitting your email ID and DoB. However, check the confirmation page of the application form, the required number will be given there.
