NIFT Entrance Exam 2020 Syllabus

The NIFT 2020 entrance exam syllabus has been already released by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in the month of 23rd October 2019. The NIFT syllabus for 2020 will deal with things such as sections and topics from where the questions are expected to be asked in the NIFT 2020 entrance exam question paper. 

With in-depth knowledge regarding the syllabus for NIFT 2020, the candidates will have a clear cut idea regarding the important topics of NIFT 2020, how well they have prepared those topics and what areas require their undivided attention. 

The NIFT 2020 syllabus will be different for different programmes as well as the General Ability Test (GAT), Creative Ability Test (CAT) and Situation Test (ST) which can be confusing for the candidates. NIFT 2020 Syllabus For B.Des and M.Des

  • Quantitative Ability: The test contains questions based on Addition, Work and Task, Ratio and Proportion, Multiplication, Percentage, Division, Fractions, Rate of Interest and Distance.
  • Communication Ability: It includes questions on synonyms, antonyms, words with corresponding meanings, plural, singular,  idioms and phrases, one-word substitutes, correct spellings etc.
  • English Comprehension: This subtest aims to test the candidate’s ability to comprehend a situation from a given passage, and test of basic English language.
  • Analytical Ability: This sub-test is designed to test the candidate’s capacity for the ability of inference and logic from the given information.
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs: The question in this sub-test is designed to test the candidate’s general knowledge and current affairs.

NIFT 2020 Syllabus For B.F.Tech, M.F.M, M.Des, M.F.Tech

  • Quantitative Ability: This subtest consists of questions based on Addition, Multiplication, Work and Task, Ratio and Proportion, Division, Fractions, Percentage, Rate of Interest and Distance.
  • Communication Ability and English Comprehension: This test includes questions on words with corresponding meanings, synonyms, antonyms, singular, plural, idioms and phrases, one-word substitutes, correct spellings, comprehend a situation from a given passage etc.
  • Analytical Ability and Logical Ability: This sub-test is designed to test the candidate’s capacity for inference and logic from the given information and to evaluate the candidate’s ability to identify the given problem and apply reasoning in solving the core issues of the problem. Concepts and practice of creative and lateral thinking are likely to be useful.
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs: This test is designed to test the candidate’s general knowledge and current affairs.
  • Case Study: This sub-test is based on a situation of an industry environment. It helps to evaluate the managerial ability of the candidate.
  • M.F.Tech will also have some questions from the engineering field.
